Philosophy / message:
ChromoFlow offers an immersive experience where physical gestures become immediate creative expression. The installation encourages contemplation, relaxation, and exploration of movement. Each motion generates colorful flows that spread across the projection, turning the space into a living, hypnotic canvas.
Material / symbol:
The projection mirrors the body’s movements. The digital fluid swirls act as brushstrokes of light, translating motion into visual poetry.
Core experience:
Visitors quickly discover the impact of their gestures, from a simple hand movement to full-body motions. The experience is playful, meditative, and adaptable to various audiences: children, adults, dancers, yoga practitioners, or patients in relaxation settings.
Interaction Scenario
Initial action:
Participants enter the interaction zone and approach the projection.
Progression:
All movements are translated instantly into flowing, colored swirls that respond to speed, direction, and magnitude.
Collective interaction:
Multiple participants can interact simultaneously, creating complex, dynamic patterns.
Feedback:
Immediate visual response reinforces the sense of control and immersion. Optional interactions include games, obstacle shapes, logos, or text within the color swirls.
End of experience:
The installation runs continuously. Patterns persist while participants interact and gradually stabilize when the area is empty.

Physical elements:
- White wall or projection surface
- Powerful projector or LED screen for brighter environments
- 3D cameras (Kinect Azure or Orbbec Femto)
- Computer running TouchDesigner for real-time simulation
Interactive components:
- 3D cameras capturing body movement as point clouds
- Fusion system to unify multiple cameras
- Real-time fluid simulation translating gestures into colorful swirls
Visual or sound output:
- Dynamic, real-time projection. Colors may be random or based on images, logos, or a graphic charter.
